For many, obesity and overweight weigh in as one and the same thing. Yet the 2 are of course different. Obesity is much more serious than being overweight. - Eating Too Frequently: You've seen it or you probably even do it. You may not eat all the time, but you eat way too frequently. You have something every 5 or 10 minutes. There are 2 catches to this: you are giving your body more than it needs and since you are eating so oftentimes chances are of course very high that you are eating junk. Ordinary, salutary meals take time to put in order so you can't get to eating them as soon as the whim takes you. Junk, as you know, is a sure way to obesity.
- Genetics: It has been proven that an obese gene runs in some families. The chances of escaping it if you belong to such a house is pretty slim, but you can be smart about it. You can make sure that you eat right and that you work out and stay active. If it of course is that bad, and it's genetic, you can have surgery performed to cut the size of your stomach bag so that you eat less.
- Sedentary Lifestyle: You only leave the couch to go to the fridge or you leave your office chair only to go to the coffee machine. And you are having 3 quadrilateral meals and snacks in between. You are going to get obese. You are eating more than you are using up and it's settling down as fat deposits. Before you know it, you are obese.
So How Can You Fight It?
- Get Active - work out, walk, lift, carry, mow the lawn, play with children (they are good at development you work up a sweat). Just get active and start burning fat.
- Your food habits Must change - you must eat less, eat better and eat less frequently. Yes, you will feel the pangs for the first couple of days, but your stomach bag begins to shrink and before long you find that you are of course eating less.
- Examine your diet - whatever you eat must be considered considered as something that will not help you gain weight. It may not necessarily help you lose, but it must not make you gain either.
- In severe cases, surgery is an option - the surgeon can make your stomach bag smaller so that you eat less. This choice however, is recommended only for the highly obese or those who are at a danger of losing their lives because of the obesity. Don't forget though, that even if you have surgery and go back to the same old eating and sedentary habits, you will go back to where you started.
